DCHC MPO Announces Public Comment Period on Amendment #7 to the FY2018-2027 TIP
The DCHC MPO Board has released for public comment details on Amendment #7 to the FY2018-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This amendment includes:
- Adding $1,016,618 in federal Congestion Management/Air Quality (CMAQ) funds and $253,655 in local funds to project C-5179, North Estes Drive. This project in Chapel Hill will construct five foot sidewalks and five foot bike lanes on North Estes Drive from Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to Caswell Drive, and will construct a ten-foot multi-use path along North Estes Drive from Caswell Drive to Elliott Road.
- Adding $726,636 in federal Transportation Alternatives Program-Direct Attributable (TAP-DA) funds and $1,037,068 in federal Surface Transportation Block Grant-Direct Attributable (STBGDA) funds to project EB-4707A, Old Durham Road Bike/Ped. This project in Chapel Hill will install bike lanes, sidewalks, and transit improvements on Old Durham Road from US-15/501 to Pope Road.
- Adding $309,812 in STBGDA funds and $1,710,393 in CMAQ funds to project EB-4707B in Durham. This project is installing bike lanes, sidewalks, and transit improvements on Old Chapel Hill Road from Garrett Road to Pope Road.
