Durham Chapel Hill Carrboro MPO, NC
Home MenuA Project
The DCHC MPO is responsible for developing and adopting long- and mid-range transportation plans, and working with the local and state government organizations, such as the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), as those agencies complete the design and construction phases. The right office to contact will depend on whether the suggested project is already in a long-range plan and which agency is responsible for the roadway, e.g., state or local government. The MPO contacts below are a good place to start your request process:
Bicycle & Pedestrian Projects:
David Miller
(919) 503-4118

Highway, Transit, & Other Projects:

The DCHC MPO has two meetings each month. The public is encouraged to use the time set aside at the beginning of these meetings for public comment to request transportation projects or policies:
-
MPO Board: Responsible for MPO policy decisions. Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 9am at the Central Pines Regional Council offices in Durham.
-
Technical Committee: Responsible for advising and making recommendations to the MPO Board. Meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9am at the Central Pines Regional Council offices in Durham.
Please check the MPO calendar for the dates and times of these meetings because they might change depending on major holidays or the MPO schedule.
