Transit planning can be challenging and requires continuous refinement of services. This process entails regular engagement with the community, often involving transit surveys. These surveys may be completed by a single transit provider, through a regional organization, or even through a state or federal agency. 

One such survey is the Triangle Regional Transit Survey, which was most recently completed in Fall 2023. This interactive dashboard contains information such as rider characteristics (i.e. age, primary language), where riders are traveling to or from ("origins and destinations"), and other key statistics (i.e. average number of rider transfers, walking trips to or from transit). This survey is specific to providers in the Greater Triangle area of North Carolina.
