The DCHC MPO jointly funded the first ever Triangle Regional Freight Plan with the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). The goal was to assess the needs of the freight industry and recommend projects and policies for possible inclusion in the MPO long-range transportation plans and in local policies and plans, as well.

The MPO Board approved the Triangle Regional Freight Plan at their May 8, 2019 meeting. The approved Plan is available on the links below and an interactive map of the Strategic Freight Corridor (SFC) is available at the icon at the top of this page.
