Durham Chapel Hill Carrboro MPO, staff, board and committees, work to provide the leadership and innovation in transportation planning while giving their best efforts in "customer service" to all constituents and stakeholders. By recognizing individual and agency achievements, the MPO is able to produce exceptional work that is often recognized by their professional peers. Agency Wide Awards and Recognition

DCHC MPO was recognized by ESRI for work that was completed in cooperation CAMPO at the ESRI End User Conference in July 2014.

2014 ESRI Award

The U. S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Authority now uses the Cross-Boundary Plan that was developed by CAMPO and DCHC MPO as a Regional Model of Cooperation Case Study. The study was recognized because of the level of cooperation and coordination achieved by both agencies when they decided to work together to resolve air quality and congestion issues across several jurisdictional boundaries.

DCHC MPO Case Study

The Florida Department of Transportation cited DCHC MPO's 2035 Long Range Transportation Plans as an excellent example of a citizen-friendly document in a research study.
