The City of Raleigh and the City of Durham developed and adopted the Wake-Durham Comprehensive Street System Plan in the early 2000s. The purpose of the Street System Plan is to ensure that thoroughfare plans in Durham and Wake Counties are consistent with one another at their common boundary, and to identify a more detailed system of collector streets to serve development in the area. The DCHC MPO and the Capital Area MPO also adopted the Street System Plan. A copy of the plan can be found at the link below.
